Commercial CentreMar Mikhael, Beirut

A retail and leisure landmark that treats a commercial programme as public infrastructure. The volume follows a fluid, curving line along the waterfront edge, wrapped in a perforated aluminium skin that shades the interior, lets air move through and gives the building a single recognisable identity. On the roof, a canopy of tree-like steel structures with translucent panels turns the terrace into a shaded social space, filtering daylight and cutting heat gain.

Green CampusBAU Beqaa extension — Jdita, Bekaa

An extension of the BAU Beqaa campus built on the three pillars of sustainability — environmental, economic and social — without losing the Mediterranean character of the existing buildings. A curved pedestrian spine ties the new faculties, sports fields and gathering plazas into one loop, while kinetic mashrabiya louvres, limestone mass walls, green walls and post-tensioned slabs carry the low-carbon strategy from the master plan down to the wall build-up.

About

Beirut Arab University — Faculty of Architecture

I design buildings the way I draw them: from the master plan down to the wall section, so the idea still holds when it reaches the detail.

My studio work moves between two scales. At the urban scale, I look for the move that gives a project its public role — a curved spine that ties a campus together, a roof terrace that gives a commercial building back to the city. At the construction scale, I test that move against material: perforated skins, kinetic louvres, limestone mass walls, post-tensioned slabs.

I am currently completing my architecture degree at Beirut Arab University and I am looking for internship and junior architect positions in Lebanon and the Gulf.
